Jacob Arkell
Colour, glamour and a sense of enjoymnent are key to my designs. I subscribe to the philosophy that ‘life is too short to wear boring clothes’. As a designer I get inspired by a multitude of different things, but they all culminate in creating collections that represent my view of the ‘contemporary woman’. I like to mix the overtly feminine with the unexpected; intricate and decorative co-exist with the cool and relaxed. My aim is to create garments that allow women to express themselves.
NOVA MULIER
Inspired by the idea of an astronaut who has spent the majority of their time ‘Earth Gazing’. A womenswear collection with a knitwear and embellishment focus, sitting within a high-end contemporary fashion market. The collection places an emphasise on colour, texture and detail.
CHROMAT X NOVA MULIER
A follow on swimwear collection designed for future-forward bodywear label Chromat. The collection promotes inclusivity and encourages the wearer to feel beautiful, confident and empowered.
KATE SPADE X JACOB ARKELL
Inspired by the friendship of Grace Kelly and Joesphine Baker. The collection draws on the contrasting styles of these two revolutionary women, fusing Kelly’s regal silhouettes with Baker’s wild and bold energy.
